With a record participation Latampaper 2022 PERU proved to be a very useful event for Latin American papermakers and suppliers serving this region.

As usual in Latampaper events, the activities took place in a vibrant atmosphere of camaraderie and cordiality that facilitated communication and the transmission of technological innovations.

The attendees participated in three days of intense and varied activities focused on solving the problems of their plants.  All this was possible thanks to an impeccable organisation coordinated in detail by the organizers and executives of the Swissotel Lima in the Lima district of San Isidro where the event was held.

 The short and focused technical presentations allowed paper manufacturers to learn about new technologies without getting bored or fatigued.  Many positive comments were received on the quality and relevance of the topics covered.

The program included a forum on automation by Ivan Medeiros of Voith, Marcelo Antunes of Valmet and the participating papermakers.

The Exhibit Hall allowed for amazing personal interaction and networking between Latin American papermakers and suppliers who brought technical innovations.

The Latampaper Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented to the memory of Don Abraham Levy and his family for their contribution to the development of Papeles y Cartones del Risaralda in Colombia and to Ricardo Martin for his outstanding dedication to the promotion of new papermaking technologies in Latin America.

The program included dinners with the papermakers where there was space to further strengthen personal and professional relationships among the attendees, all in a fantastic atmosphere.

The next Latampaper already has place and date.  It will take place from 14th to 16th June 2023 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.  All Latin American papermakers are cordially invited.
